What are the main points of interest in the budget?
If you run a business you may be interested in the new measures to reduce the impact of the Business Rates revaluation, the delaying of Making Tax Digital (MTD) until 2019, the changes in VAT, the reduction of the Dividend Allowance, the reduction in Corporation Tax and the rise in Class 4 NI contributions for the self employed.
On the personal side you may be interested in the increase in your personal allowance, the increase in Capital Gains Tax exemption, the rise in Cigarette or Alcohol duty or the introduction of the New NS&I Investment Bond.
